Our story

How Dispatcher 101 Started

Two founders and one simple idea: teach truck dispatching the way it is really done.

  1. 2016

    The founding

Dispatcher 101 was founded by John Clarence and Joe Piazza. Joe brought 30 years in trucking, and John joined as the technical founder.

  2. The course

    Built from real experience

They set out to help students learn truck dispatching. The course even includes lesson 7, “A real-life example: how we started a Dispatch company.”

  3. The students

    Open to beginners

The course is suitable for beginners with no previous experience in logistics and transportation. More than 34,000 students have enrolled.

  4. Today

    Still teaching

Our experts closely track changes and update the course, and Joe still teaches it because he loves to teach.

What we teach

Clear, Practical Training for a Real Job

Dispatchers keep freight moving. Our course teaches the whole workflow: where to look for freight, how to book a load step by step, how to negotiate a fair rate and how to handle the paperwork.

You also get the scripts and training you need to communicate with drivers, brokers and customers.
