How it works

How It’s Worked Out

The planner uses three of the main FMCSA limits for property-carrying drivers: up to 11 hours of driving after 10 consecutive hours off duty, a 30-minute break after 8 hours of driving, and a 10-hour rest before the next driving day.

Driving time is the trip miles divided by average speed. The planner splits it into driving days of up to 11 hours, adds a 30-minute break on any day longer than 8 hours, and a 10-hour rest between driving days.
